I realize we have a president now that Trumps this book for authoring offensive, crazy, and "crazy s#it", but this book is what is is: a coffee table/bathroom reader. The book is interesting with a fun collection of random quotes. All of the quotes have a story behind them, so if your historical understanding is not very deep, maybe you will not appreciate the book for what it is.I think in a instant gratification produced "reality" world, many people want the book to entertain you with crazy quotes Beavis and Butthead style.Not here, just interesting quotes from presidents.

I can't help but think of my father when I read this book, because one of his favorite sayings was, "That's not funny; that's sad...." I can't think of a better way to describe this book, but I have actually laughed outloud while sitting at home by myself and thumbing through it.Words of all the presidents are included, and while it's fun to reminisce about the outrageous & comical (sad?) statements of our recent leaders, I was surprised to discover that even the earliest ones were funny, too.I'm buying a few more copies for gifts, and highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a good laugh.

There are some shocking and stupid statements made by Presidents, but quite a few are philisophical (sp), deep and, at times,a bit sad. This isn't a laugh-out-loud book, but I still liked it a lot. Many times our Presidents have made comments that onewould hardly expect.

Although there were many quotes, there was no context included, which made many of them irrelevant. I bought this for someone who loves reading about presidents, and we both put it down quickly. Too bad.

Incredible find. Astounding words that shot out of the mouths of our presidents is humorous and insightful.
