Selected Assistant by Robin Roseau Review
I have read all of the books in this series and have up until this point liked each. Unfortunately all of the main human characters start to sound and act the same after a while. They are all too focused on hugs, all sound the same at how they are offended, but then allow the aliens to take them in the direction they intend them to go. The main characters end up sounding like prudes after a while, and really detract from the stories.
An engineer travels to the ET's Africa compound to troubleshoot and repair hardware which interfaces with alien technology. Needless to say, she has her own romantic encounter. The stories are getting less heavy handed as they go along.
I have really enjoyed the continuing story's. I was fascinated with the first book, but the evolution of the series with the inclusion of previous characters keeps me coming back. I love just how many of her (main character) choices mirror how my own would be. Eagerly awaiting the next book.
I certainly hope that this is not the last one! I loved every one of the Selected series and can't wait for the next one!! We;; done Robin, please continue!
