This book is a direct translation from Chinese into English from a book by one of China's best martial arts and Shen Gong practitioners, Zhang Dun Xi . His original title is SHEN GONG, the translation of his text clearly explains the concepts of Stillness for Shen Gong and that the exercises presented are for the purpose of mediation on STILLNESS.the first set are exercises he presented for neigong practice to use for stillness meditation.The second set is an extremely rare TAOIST version of the Muscle Tendon / Marrow Washing exercises.The third set is exercises that Zhang Dun Xi presented for physical health, collected from Tong Bei and other styles.This book is not millions of pages of blah blah blah about what Shen Gong is, there are already many books about that. The best are by Damo Mitchell.Instead this book is Zhang Dun Xi's exercises that he presented to be used while PRACTICING Shen Gong, while doing it, which is stillness meditation.As such, the exercises are HIGHLY EFFECTIVE and will promote not only Still Shen Gong work but also Health.

I checked this out because it had Michael Smith's name on it. While there's some decent information about standing meditation and some qigong exercises....there's almost nothing on actual Shen Gong. That is connecting meditation to qigong movements. What's there is extremely basic and the book is very short at 100 pages. With a price tag of almost $30 I would avoid it. There are better books on Standing qigong and meditation.

Fantastically written... gave me a great outlook, changed how I view meditation and myself inwardly.... 5/5 and regifted to a friend who also recommended to a friend! This book is fantastic and will do magic for whoever reads it!
