Cork and Limerick go to war this afternoon for a place in this year's All-Ireland football minor final.

What a run it has been for Cork GAA in recent months. As well as their senior hurlers reaching the All-Ireland final, all of their underage teams – minor and U-20 - have won the Munster title.

The Cork minor footballers seven-point victory over Limerick in Thurles secured their first provincial crown since 2010.

Previously they impressed in putting five goals past Waterford before edging Kerry in a tense Munster semi-final.

But the Rebels look sure to have their work cut against a highly-talented Tyrone outfit.

The Red Hand blew away Down and Fermanagh in Ulster to set up a decider against neighbours Donegal when second-half goals from Conor Owens and Cormac Devlin saw them through.

Tyrone have had only eight days to prepare for this one but motivation won't be an issue, with the chance to play in Croke Park on the line.

The match is scheduled to throw in at 2.30pm at Bord na Mona O'Connor Park in Tullamore.

It will be shown live on TG4 and will be available to stream right here.

The senior hurlers of course have their All-Ireland final tomorrow from 3:30pm at GAA headquarters against Limerick.

For the next few hours we're focused on the Rebel minor footballers.

They take on Tyrone today at 2:30pm this afternoon at O'Connor Park, Tullamore.

Tyrone blew away Down and Fermanagh in the early rounds in Ulster to set up a provincial final against neighbors Donegal, where they swept up their first Ulster Minor title since 2012 by an emphatic seven point winning margin (seven points in football of course being a much larger margin than seven points in hurling).

Cork also impressed as they put five goals past Waterford before edging Kerry by one point in a tense Munster semi-final.

The young Rebels were much too good for a dogged Limerick, winning the Munster final against the Treaty County 1-17 to 0-13 at Semple Stadium to set up this last four national fixture.

It might be a remarkable summer thus far for Cork in the small ball, but their young footballers could well help extend that as they face Tyrone this evening.

A place in the All-Ireland Minor Football final is at stake as the Munster champions square off against the Red Hand men at O'Connor Park in Tullamore.

Tyrone blew away Down and Fermanagh in Ulster to set up a decider against neighbours Donegal, where they swept up their first Ulster Minor title since 2012.

Cork also impressed as they put five goals past Waterford before edging Kerry in a tense Munster semi-final. They were too strong for a spirited Limerick challenge in the decider to set up the last four clash.
