Because I have participated in the Christian Zionist dialogue in various ways since the early 1980's, and I have lived as a volunteer in Israel with a Christian humanitarian organization for more than two years, I can relate to this author on many levels. Dr. Shapiro has managed to elucidate the issues - both pro and con - surrounding the religious/political/sociological/ enigma known as 'Christian Zionism'. I am amazed at her understanding of the 'Evangelical' diversity and her definition of this and other Christian movements and various denominations. This is a page turner..... could not put it down from the first well written Preface to the very end. I encourage both Jews and Christians to read this book.....even if you are otherwise opposed to Jewish and Christian dialogue from either reference point.
