Our heroine is in her second year at the magic academy which can be challenging enough on its own. But with her own magic growing at an unexpected rate, this will not be a normal sophomore year for her.This is book two of the series and it does okay as a standalone. I missed the first book and was a little lost at first, but quickly picked up on all the essentials. However, it might have been better to read them in order. Your call.This is a paranormal academy story, but it reads like more of an action mystery story. Sure, you have a lot of the staples of stories based at schools, but there is some much else going on that the academy kind of fades into the background. The story is well written and action packed with lots of mystery and intrigue along the way. I found the characters to be interesting and well developed which helps draw you into the story. Overall, I found this book very engaging and hard to put down. Guess I need to go back to the beginning.Highly recommended.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout for review purposes.
The continuing story of esther and kairn. Esthers second year is very problematic with her being unbound. At the party the students fell ill when they practiced magic. No one knows what caused it. One by one the students get better except for aria. She falls feep into a magic coma. Can esther save her? The characters are complex and real. The story is well written and intriguing. I couldnt put it down. As I neared the ending I was holding my breath. The suspense was killing me. The ending was amazing. Unbroken: Mage's Academy II by Finley Morrow is an awesoe story to read. This is book number two in this awesome series writen by a brand new author for me to read and I loved reading it very much. A fab paranormal fantasy academy series! This is second year and it’s full of action and mystery and intrigue! The story continues to develop and our characters continue to grow and I found myself easily lost in this world!
I am completely sucked into this story, I need more. There are quite a few grammar errors that drive me crazy, but the story is worth the headache!
