I am very pleased with this purchase and with the seller. This book is in great condition, as if I bought it new at a bookstore. The seller's description said "lightly rubbed" as a negative, but I don't see it. The dust jacket, the pages, the binding, etc. are all in great condition. The packaging it arrived in was very good; you could tell the seller was trying to protect the book. This is a book I have owned and enjoyed for years, but my soft cover copy has begun to fall apart. I was thrilled to find a hard copy of the book and the fact that it is in great condition is even better.I highly recommend purchasing from this seller!
If you want a good portrait of what NY gay life was like until the plague hit, this is a great book. The parallel portraits of the two cousins are interesting, and the writing is good. The story is like a soap opera, but it's gay history.
Wonderful book. Beautifully written spanning a very interesting period of time. The characters are well developed and real. I loved this book.
Everything came as described and was delivered within several days.
one of my favorite books. I am Gay and this is the kind of epic story I can relate to. Maybe when people finally become tolerant they can make this book into a movie!
