I know a book has officially "hooked" me when I can't get through the security line at the airport fast enough in order to continue reading it.I was recommended this book by a friend who knows that I love thrillers, and I truly can't say enough good things about it. First of all, it almost feels like a movie script, in that the dialogue is smart and witty yet instantly familiar and relatable. Charles (the author) has this ability to paint these characters and scenes into your mind like a movie does, and all I had to do was go along for the ride. Secondly, he knows how to end each chapter with just enough of a "cliffhanger" to made you go, "Okay, just ONE more chapter." Cut to me at 3:15am curled up in my bed, unable to put this thing down.'ll be honest and say that I'm not accustomed to reading books where gay folks are the lead characters, and I wasn't sure I'd like that. In this instance, the fact that the characters are gay gave the story an added richness and depth, beyond what I'm used to reading in other thrillers. I found myself feeling like I truly know these characters, which is what a well-written book should do.If you're a fan of suspense, courtroom dramas, or murder mysteries in any way, shape, or form, this book is kind of a no-brainer. If you're anything like me, you'll find yourself scrambling like a madman to get to the next page, and then wishing the other two books of the trilogy were already out.For me, they can't come fast enough.

I’m an avid reader and there is a great new author on the murder mystery scene. Once I started reading, I had a hard time putting the book down. Fast paced but with a fleshed out story, Naive impactfully delivers, from Micah trying to save Lenox's life (which propels Micah through a complicated criminal trial) to several side stories that eventually converge. So who did It? You will have to read Naive to find out!

Had the pleasure of reading this book recently on a trip to Italy. GREAT vacation reading! It has everything…. Police procedural, suspense, murder, well-rounded characters (each of whom you constantly suspect). Page turning, twisty, pure insidious fun. Wasn’t expecting the ending, but made complete sense, which always is a good sign of a well crafted book. Thanks Royce! Hurry up on the next one please.

This book was action packed from the beginning to the last page! Who you think committed the crime will leave you utterly speechless. This book is the first one in its trilogy ! If you want to read a book that will keep you on your toes and your mind spinning "Naive" by Mr. Charles Royce is must read! Thank you Mr. Royce! Book 2 will be re ready Winter 2020.

I love a good mystery and this book has, by far, exceeded all expectations!! What a great read!! Can't wait for the rest of the series to be released!
