The prelude to a young man's adventure around the world with his pet ferret Bandit.It is a raw, vulnerable self dialogue and inspirational narrative on battling woes of a divorced family and depression.I can only imagine the strengh and heartache it took to re-visit such conflict in your life. It's an inspiration to others whom have gone through and overcome similar situations in thier lives; such as myself. AND of course includes the heart warming story of Charles meeting his furry life saving best friend; Bandit the Ferret. Looking foward to his upcoming Adventures with Bandit.

Although I understood what he was trying to say, the amount of words he used quickly bored me. It would have been more entertaining if he had reduced each page to half the number of words. I was looking for exciting adventure with a Ferret but instead I found a drone of words where not much happened.

This book means so much to me in so many different ways.1.) I discovered Charlie on Facebook after I had adopted my own first ferret and, of course, I had to follow the guy that was travelling around Europe with a ferret like it was nobody's business! I was more than excited when he announced that he had written a book. I couldn't wait to buy my copy!2.) This book speaks the truth with soul. By the end of it, I felt like Charlie was my new best friend. His advice and lessons are real and powerful. His shared experiences are a reminder that strength and bravery must be forged through pain and suffering. A lesson we all experience and must learn in order to survive.3.) I love supporting Indie Authors. I love knowing that when I buy their book that they are actually getting paid for it and recognized for their work and content. A lot goes into self-publishing which means each book takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. I also know it is about the experience of being published. I proudly own the now limited edition first print and now the updated second print. I love each copy equally because without a doubt they show character and personality.4.) Mental health is a worldwide crisis and anyone who says otherwise is in denial. I am proud to live in an age where people like Charlie are making a difference and taking a stand against the blantant malpractice that is mental health care. Whether you live in the US or the UK, it is obvious that a mental health diagnosis feels like a death sentence. I myself recieved a mental health diagnosis just this year and this book has helped me put a lot of it into perspective; reminding me that I am not alone and that my mental health will take more than a trip to the doctors office and a fistfull of meds.Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Charlie!
