I LOVE ACCOMPANIMENTS!!! ...Most cultures use accompaniments with their meals, especially Asian cultures. These "precious treasures" bring your meals to new levels. I looked though dozens of Indian cookbooks and this book had everything I was looking for. My friends are impressed and feel spoiled when these accompaniments are served and beg for the recipes. This book has a wide range of choices; chutneys, relishes, pickles, sambals and preserves. Beautiful photos and the recipes have clear instructions with ingredients that you can find. Now I am having at least 2-3 accompaniments with every meal. There was another wonderful side result..... I LOST weight as I ate LESS carbs and meat at meals because the accompaniments satisfied my appetite. Only regret that you will have will be that you did not buy this cookbook sooner.

Ms.Cooray's book of what enahnces foods is as thorough and accessible as her classroom teaching was. I appreciate seeing this book as an extension of Ms. Cooray as it offers foods that she has chosen to share.

Nice photos. However; limited recipes.

Bought for gift to my son who is a chef. He is enjoying it.
