As an urban Muslim who grew up in India and worked in media and advertising, I found the title of the book very interesting and intriguing. It is a collection of easy flowing articles and essays capturing glimpses of the author's life as a Muslim in India. The title of the book hints at the stereotypes people have about Muslims and Muslim women and how the author, a practicing Muslim herself but not someone who wears a burqa, surprises people.The book is an easy and enjoyable read with the language interspersed with Hindi and Urdu terms that people who have grown up in India will identify with. A fresh breath of air at a time Muslims are being stereotyped, vilified and projected as violent, illiterate people - the author is anything but that and a reflection of the diversity of the Muslim experience worldwide.I may not agree with all her views but I identify with her experiences and outlook mostly.
