This book is wonderful! I used to like to read Amish fiction books years ago, but this real account is so much better because it gives you a completely different, real perspective from a personal experience. It was very enlightening, encouraging and inspiring! I'd recommend this book to anyone - it would make a great gift too, for anyone. In today's world with all that's going on, it's a great reminder of just how much someone can accomplish when they put their mind to it - and this bright young lady is a great example of that.

It did not take me long to read this book. I had trouble putting it down! I was drawn in immediately and could not wait to see what happened next! The author’s story of hope and redemption is fascinating. Sharing the good, the bad and the ugly gives the reader a thorough understanding of what the author went through and why it’s important that she share this information with others.

Praise God for this book!The moment I received it in the mail, I read it the same day!It definitely gave me a perspective of how despite our different backgrounds and hurts, God STILL reaches out to us 🙏🏼❤️This is a must read especially if you are starting your walk in the Lord

Beyond the Brokenness, a memoir by Rebekah Hope, chronicles her journey growing up in strict Amish culture to navigating the modern world for the first time at the age of 17.What struck me most about Rebekah’s story is her bravery. The extraordinary amount of courage it must have taken to leave the simple, safe-from-the-world amish life and integrate into the very stimulating modern society.Rebekah shares with ease, what day-to-day living was like on a 100-acre diary farm, to attending school in one-room school house for all grades. Upon completing school after the 8th grade, Rebekah know’s for sure the amish culture is no longer where she belongs and sets her sights on leaving.At the age of 17, she lives in a place with electricity, uses a microwave, and goes to contemporary church for the first time. She also encounters situations and people that the amish culture protected her from and learned some hard lessons.This book is for anyone needing inspiration and encouragement to make big decisions. I highly recommend this book.
