Got hooked on the first free one, bought this one thinking I was buying an actual book seeing as it is priced as most ebooks are, a book usually has 300+ pages, I don’t usually check page counts but when I read this in a half an hour I was stunned , still I liked the story so I bought the next but when I went through that even faster, checked the page fount & it was even shorter I didn’t know what to think and I had already pre ordered the 4th. I figured that one had to be the last one and it was sure to be longer so imagine my surprise when at page 99 the author ended the book on another cliff hanger. So , so far I have sunk in nearly $11 for 348 pages, that’s about the length of your average ebook , perhaps slightly longer. Would you pay $11 for one ebook? Is her next book going to be $2.99 for 78 pages and a cliffhanger? I love her characters and her story, I’m so sad that I won’t be immersed in that world anymore and I won’t know how it turns out but I refuse to be taken for a ride and have any more money squeezed out of me. This is ridiculous, it the never ending story of a greedy author who couldn’t wait to publish so she just published little bits and has no problem bilking her readers.
The Vampire Trap is incredible. The Vampires are up to no good, dealing in Magic but vampires aren't suppose to be able to do magic. And what does Elle have to do with this and what is this secret about her Mom? These are questions still unanswered but the journey to those answers so far is an awful lot of fun.In this part of the story Dex and Elle work together to set a trap for Azriel, the Vampire who initially tried to capture her. As they spend time together, their attraction to one another grows. There is a moment towards the beginning where they are riding in the car and there is that cute "boy and girl like each other but try to pretend they don't" awkwardness and there is a joke about talking of the weather and then they talk about the weather. It seems a simple moment but it really struck me and made them feel so genuine and relatable.We meet new Vamps in this book and learn of their magic experiments. We also learn that not only is Elle holding on to some secrets of herself but so is Dex. After some harrowing moments, failed attempts to capture Azriel and learn the all important secrets of Elle's Mom and Dex finding out Elle is a slave, things really take a turn for the worse as Elle misses her curfew. Her stepmother drags her home where Meredith is waiting to show the Essence she found in Elle's attic room. This causes her stepmother to lock her permanently in her room and punish Sienna. Desperate, Elle, calls upon The Godmother and the price she'll need to pay for freedom is steep...very steep.I can't wait to find out what happens next. The story is so good and has me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what's really going on. One thing I love about this version of Cinderella is the importance placed on Elle's biological parents. In all of the books I've read and movies I've seen, her parents are not important to the plot of the story at all, especially her Mother. Usually it's only her father that is mentioned because of marrying the step-mother. In this story, things seem to stem from her Mother. I find that such a refreshing and unique change. This is quickly becoming my favorite "Cinderella".
Not being yoo tired I binge read these books last I love the way MS Morgan turned the Cinderella tale into an urban fantasy with role ibteractingr Sith the far as she tries to get has.with Godmother exacting a price for every wish she grants. sometimes the cost is very high!if you like the first 2-3 books which you can purchase for free on Amazon,you are better off buying the series as whole,I did have problems downloading books individually. What great book series;just need to finish now when book 6downloads. Definitely an author worth ft following🤗
This was a weird Cinderella-type story about vampires and wishes that I read because, at the time, it was free on kindle. The story was confusing at best, and contained many typos and grammatical errors making it difficult for me to read. In addition, the story cut off at a huge cliff hanger, and the story was not compelling enough for me to pay for the next installment.
When Elle’s plans go wrong she’s left with only one way out. I loved this episode as much as the first. Maybe more. Dex is seriously an amazing character. That scene in chapter 11 and the interruption. This author is trying to kill me! (And I love her for it!) I've been in a huge reading slump for months but this has really pulled me out of it!
