Literally just finished this book. I binged read it and finished it in 1 day. I could not put it down. I am a paranormal junky so when I first heard of the book I ordered it as fast as I could. This book brought a lot of emotion. I found myself saying wow and no way (in a good way) multiple times. It also brought me a sense of relief in a way when it comes to being afraid of death. I have experienced a lot off loss of loved ones, family and friends and always had a hard time and was so angry. This book definitely made me look at things with a much more positive outlook on the topic. The ending of the book sealed the deal. Throughout the book I was on the edge of my seat with the paranormal stories, even getting goosebumps quite a few times, but the ending left me satisfied (if that makes sense) and left me with a warm heart. I strongly recommend this book to anyone. I'm even going to force my skeptic of a husband to sit and read front to back! Great work Richard! I look forward to reading more from you! Thank you!!
I couldn't wait to read genuine stories from real Doctors and medical staff and their experiences. Instead the stories were mostly from the author's friends who just happen to be"paranormal investigators" who also work inHealthcare. Not to say that their stories aren't true but I would have like to hear stories from people other than those from the author's friends and who are not involved in the paranormal world. Some of these stories sound absolutely ridiculous. Some of the dialog was repeated as though it was cut and pasted into different stories.Also the writer contradicts himself - for instance when he talks about a nurse who said "she walked up to a spirit and spoke to the and the spirit and the spirit was so surprised that the nurse was able to see her (the spirit.) Then the very next sentence this same lady says how spirits just "Know" who can see them and who can't. Then why say the spirit was so surprised that the nurse could see her? Which is it? This is the same reaction to another story in this book about the car accident victim. Are spirits aware that humans can see them or not? Make up your mind please!So disappointing. I thought I'd be ready stories from real, unbiased non paranormal people. No such luck.
I really enjoyed this book. The last chapter was a wonderful way of ending this book.I'm currently watching Richard's New series Haunted Hospitals.Being a nurse myself I really enjoy hearing about other nurse's stories.
Mildly interesting. Rather short in the audible version. Long on spiritual aspects. (Sorry. Not everyone who is interested in whatever ghosts are believe they are on their way to Heaven or Hell.) Abounding with full-on conversations between "ghosts" and living beings. (Come on! Just relaying sightings is fine and even creepier.) Rather than research the possible cause, people tell how they had long mental and sometimes AUDIBLE conversations with ghosts that solved all questions. Not my cup of tea but a good read on a stormy night around Halloween... and good for youngsters that can handle scary.
This was one of the better books I've read on the subject of the Paranormal. Having said that, It gave a glimpse into the possibilities beyond what we now know to be true in this world. In some ways, I feel like my own fears of the unknown are diminished, having had the chance to learn of the experiences shared within these pages. I may just read it a second time. Absolutely loved it on so many levels.
