This book begins with a very personal account of a former IRS officer - starting with the day he was arrested by coworkers. The drama continues as the author writes how he was indicted on 200 years worth of charges by the very people he collected large sums of money for. This is an interesting look at nepotism, discriminative and uneconomical cultures that prevail in this governmental organaization. Recalling that the USA relies on the IRS collect the majority of it’s revenue - I strongly urge you to read this book to gain a better understanding of the utter waste and lavish expenditure of the IRS. Most of us are well aware of wasteful government spending but this book provides an inside view on exactly how this is facilitated by the IRS. It’s a subject we should all learn more about for our own good and certainly with the 2020 election in the not too distant future.
Quite unfortunate what happened to the author. It’s hardly the IRS that is problematic, it’s the justice system.

I could not but this book down. It detail the inner working of the IRS for an insiders perspective. The advice is amazing and has already saved me from making a huge error in my taxes. I highly recommend this book.
