You know in Beauty and the Beast when Belle says, “Well, it's my favorite! Far off places, daring sword fights, a prince in disguise...†and she’s told, “Well, if you like it all that much, it’s yours� That’s what The Dual World Agenda reminds me of. Once you’ve read it once, you are so happy that you own it and it’s going to be a book you read repeatedly over the course of your life. While there aren’t any sword fights, there is magic. While there isn’t a prince, there is the realization of true love. The plot is heavy with mystery and Ally does a nice job explaining difficult technological concepts. She also leaves you wanting more and looking forward to the next installment. You won’t regret this purchase or the time you spend in this new world she has created!
Any fan of The Hunger Games or Divergent will enjoy Ally Carson’s story. It’s an original concept with a modern twist, where the main character, Kate, is the hero of her own life’s story. I really enjoyed how the author kept the story moving, and it was interesting to see how Kate develops from what you *think* she is into a fully realized version of herself. Cool twist at the end, too!
