Ink Knows No Borders: Poems of the Immigrant and Refugee Experience by Alyssa Raymond Review

I will be forever changed after reading this remarkable collection of poetry that shares the diverse stories of a group of immigrant, refuge and exile writers. These powerful poems are filled with unique details and honest emotions that opened both my eyes and my heart. A magnificent work that I believe everyone should read. I'm off to buy additional copies right now!

Gut-wrenchingly brave poems. I loved this book. I read every poem in one sitting; couldn’t put it down.

I am not normally a reader of poetry but find this collection incredible - subtitled “Poems of the Immigrant and Refugee Experience.” It is deeply moving, at times heartbreaking, at times uplifting and each gem beautifully written. Do yourself a favor. Get this book and open up you heart to those sharing their stories, images and memories of coming to America and leaving their homelands.

This poetry collection is being published at just the right time … when we are struggling to understand the plight of immigrants around the world. The poems take us into the hearts and minds of mostly very young immigrants. This book ought to be in every high school and college. Teachers will find a wealth of material and much food for thought. Don't miss it and pass it on!

Moving, beautiful poems by some of our finest writers for young people, describing the immigrant/refugee experience. I wish I could thank every poet on these pages personally, for bravely sharing his/her story.
